I was rather impressed with this fletching jig. It came very well packaged heavily padded to prevent damage. The metal construction gives it a good solid foundation. Stays put, which makes fletching just that much easier. The version I received must be a slightly improved model, while it comes with a hex wrench (screwdriver) its not needed as the adjustment bolts now have finger knobs that make it easy to loosen and tighten the block that holds the fletching clamp. Its easy to adjust and if you look down over the top its easy to move to the position you want and tighten up the finger knobs. The clamp has nicely marked measurements so you can figure out where you like your fletching best and always get them in the same spot. The clamp held the fletching tightly and the magnets are strong and hold the clamp firmly in place where you put it. When rotating the arrow to the next position, I like that it held the arrow firmly in place. With my plastic jig the arrow tends to start sliding up, and if you forget to push it back, the next fletch is in the wrong place.There is one thing Iād like to see changed. The clamp holds the fletching nice and tight, but the edges could stand to have a file run over them a little When I took a paper towel to run down the edge to clean off some excess glue the edge was rather sharp.
