This is my go to reso head, I have it on both a Ludwig 16 and 22” kick. The ported head gives you some more low end and reduces bass drum chatter.

I've been using Aquarian Regulators for a long time now. These are the first I've bought with the porting in the middle as apposed to offset. It really works well, especially with placing mics inside the shell. Looks great on a double bass kit as well!

I’m using this with an Aquarian Force I on the beater and I’m super happy with the sound. Wanted something with a cut out to mic up in my studio and I can fit a Shure PG52 through here no problemo.

Facile à accorder et accepte aussi bien le très détendu que le tout tendu. Le trou pour le micro est propre et bien situé. Dommage que la peau ne soit pas totalement opaque car l'on voit lattenuateur dharmoniques et c'est une esthétique discutable. Gros son cependant et a remplacé très avantageusement la peau permatone d'origine.

I've been using aquarian regulator reso bass drum heads for around 5 years now so I got a pretty good idea about what to expect from them. Through the years I have used about 8 different reso heads and only two have really stood out as being my favorites, The Remo Powerstroke 3 and this head. These heads really let the bass come out of your kick especially when paired with an aquarian force 1 or remo powerstroke 3, however they sound great when paired with other batter heads as well. I just replaced a powerstroke 3 reso on one of my kits with this and the final result was more low end boom and a broken picture frame from the bass frequency this thing puts out. Although I do like the remo powerstroke 3 on the reso, it has a nice punchy sound that rests in the middle somewhere compared to others and doesn't get real boomy but doesn't choke the kick. Well, more about the Aquarian Regulator, All in all this head rocks, if you're looking for something to bring out that low end in your kick, this is it. As for everything else, the white is really nice looking and glossy, the ring on the inside shows through but it doesn't look bad, the hole is nicely cut with a black protector on it, and it fits really nice around the bearing edges. The only thing I would change about this head would be the option to be able to install a port hole ring without modifying the head.

I really like this Aquarian Regulator in white. It is well made, the reinforcing hoop splice was clean a well aligned, the head itself was clean and free of any dents or wrinkles. The head sat on my bearing edge perfectly and lined up with my hoop perfectly so everything good there. A few things to note; this head is made in Mexico, I would like the Aquarian logo to be smaller or not on the head at all, I do not like logos, you will definitely see the white muffling ring through the head, it will look like a ring within a ring but I like the look of it and lastly; I would have liked the ring around the port to also be white, I am not a fan of the black. Most importantly, the head sounds good. I cant say that it positively effects the sound of my kick better than say the eMad reso I was using but I also can't say that it doesn't, they both sound good to me. I got this head because I love my Superkick batters and I liked the look of the glossy white finish. All in all, I was very pleased.On a side not, the first head Amazon sent me was poorly packaged, badly bent and obviously mishandled by the carrier. Amazon, true to form, quickly sent me a replacement but that one was damaged even worse, on the third try the got it right but only by the skin of their teeth. This box was also well damaged but somehow the head survived. Check your head good when it comes in, a slight bend or warp will throw your tuning off

This thing really looks good on my all white kit and sounds even better. I have been really trying to get away from stuffing my bass drum with blankets and the built in ring on this head gets me that much closer. Pair it with a kickport and now i only have a tshirt on the beater side with no overtones. Bought it because it was white, and got a great sounding head in the mix.Cheers,Nate

Very impressed with this Aquarian Kick Head.Pros:-Very sharp looking in white.-Has built in tonation ring that allows you to dial in just the right tone.-The hole that accepts microphones is built well with reinforcement. I have had these holes tear many times due to microphones grabbing on while going in or out. Not on this regulator.Cons:-None
