After years of using much lower cost 3rd party replacement UV bulbs we bit the bullet and purchased the expensive Ultra original replacement bulb - OUCH!! We had developed a cloudy water/algae problem that wasn’t helped by trying two different off-brand new bulbs. Before installing I tested all bulbs and compared the light intensities. The Ultra brand was obviously much more radiant. Sure enough with this product the cloudy water cleared up in a few weeks.

Perfect fit and replacement bulb for my Nuvo 3000 UV water sterilizer running a 14K gunite pool. Purchased a cheaper “comparable” bulb before this one and there was no comparison. This bulb is exactly what I needed and am very pleased with the purchase.

I have been using UV bulbs for over 10 years in my outside pond. They usually last about a year and I usually have to turn them off during the freezing months or they will die. I just had to replace my bulb as I always know when the water turns murky over night the build has died. I remembered that I bought the bulb from Amazon so I went back to see when I bought it and I was amazed that this bulb lasted over 2 years, actually 2years and a month. Needless to say I quickly purchased the same bulb. Also I had not turned it off in 2 years and it still made it, couldn't ask for more.
