- 2008 Lincoln town car signature limited 280k kms -I wouldn’t consider this a “perfect” replacement but it deserves credit where it’s deserved.I wouldn’t purchase this to have someone install. This is for those who work on their own vehicles or are capable of replacing themselves. You get what you pay for!I’ve taken a Dremmel to all the intake and coolant ports cleaning them up and removing excess material from the molding process. Some ports gained an extra mm. Coolant port was the worst which I opened up 2mm. I was able loosen the coolant bridge and line it up a little better with the ports. Took 30mins.I have some pitting around my coolant ports on my head so I’ve applied some black RTV to help assist sealing.(This is a great time to replace the water pump)Some comments complain about a gap from the coolant bridge to intake. It has to be mounted to the car - issue will cease to exist… add RTV if you’re worried.Hardware has been changed to some cheap screws since there are no threaded inserts except where the throttle body mounts but it’s more than enough to hold down the fuel rail and coil packs. Just be mindful when tightening and stop when you feel resistance. After all we’re here to save some money, what do you expect.I’ve had no issues just take your time and do a good job.I’ll update after I’ve driven the car for a little while.

I bought this product because my intake manifold was leaking coolant. This was supposed to be a direct replacement but after it was installed on the vehicle and was running the intake manifold had a leak. I’m assuming from poor plastic the surface was not flat at all and the gasket did not seal properly. So if you would like to change an intake manifold twice get this product. But I recommend a better brand like Motorcraft even though it’s expensive at least you only have to pay one time for it to be changed.

Intake fit nicely, preinstalled gaskets worked well. Product did not come with torque instructions so I used 18 ft lb (recommended for another intake I found online). The torque pattern is molded into the plastic. After installing the leaking (both vacuum and coolant) were 100% better but the car was now running hot and inconsistent temperature. Suspected air bound but after bleeding realized coolant was cold at the tank and replaced the provided thermostat with the original and now I’m good to go. Boiled the provided thermostat on the stove afterward and it did not open at 212. Happy with the intake for the money but wish I had not wasted my time with the new thermostat provided.

Installed first time leaked antifreeze profusely from both sides intake. Took it off checked o-rings didn't roll or anything put it back on was a little better but now also had a vacuum leak. Off a third time and noticed the counter sunk bolts on the bottom of the intake tightened those up installed it works perfect no leaks, then it got warm and had a small vacuum leak. The fix for me was liberal coating of rtv to the head then bring intake as straight down as I could not to smudge it use the torque patterns to lock it down been working for a while now don't think I'll ever have a problem. Honestly it being a blown plastic is what makes them hard to deal with they will bow and flex no two will likely be perfect not the producers fault it's Ford's use the rtv save you money and burn tires

Had a coolant leak and found this manifold had one day shipping, paid a premium but needed a running car. only reason for a lack of 5 stars is the specs are slightly smaller and limit airflow compared to factory and I did notice a slight decrease in throttle response.

Old dorman intake has the coolant crossover leak. Which results in changing the whole intake. Terrible design. This intake worked. I used a motorcraft tstat and a new temp sensor. No issues so far.

Intake fit perfect and was relatively easy to install. Here are 2 things you need to know if you are tackling this project.1, on the rear of this intake there is a capped off water port. I suggest replacing the spring clamp with a real clamp. Mine did not hold and shot off the cap. No big deal, just something to avoid.2. You will need something to put a vacuum on the coolant system before you fill it such as an (air lift). It is a sealed system and you will have a large amount of air trapped without pulling a vacuum. I learned this the hard way.The intake performs very well. Runners seem shorter than factory which seems to make more off idle response and low end power.
