Changing this part was extremely difficult due to its location, but once I got out the original one and put in the replacement, everything was smooth. Don't be worried if the power connecter is in a different spot it still works.

The actuator went out in our ford. We decided to replace it at home. It’s extremely hard to get to the parts to replace it. After 3 1/2 hours of work, we got it all put back together. It was stuck on A/c. It’s getting so cold here in the morning. On the plus side, after replacement we now have Heat. Sadly, the AC will not switch back on. Right now we need heat so it will work. I guess we will have to go through another replacement when it starts getting hot again which is quite aggravating. Overall, it got the heat on and that’s what we need now. Very disappointing we can’t switch back and forth between A/c and heat as it was a lot of work to get the original out and the new piece in.

My original actuator stopped working (as they do with 2004 Ford Taurus) and needed a quick and easy replacement. I found this one and thought it could be a good deal if it worked. It did work perfectly for a few hours and then just suddenly stopped. I’m pretty disappointed but not very surprised for the price point. Save the hassle (these usually aren’t very easy to get to, especially not for my car) just get yourself a higher quality actuator. I’m personally going for a Dorman which is ~$50 at autozone.

This blend door actuator worked great for my 2000 Ford Taurus. Took bout half an hour to remove old part and install this new one. My heater finally works!

I've already installed this part to the HVAC assembly under the middle slightly tward passenger side and it works perfectly and the best part ! Not a sound in the world lol very happy and it felt like it was made very well ..
