Wrong motor for my van, but the website said it was the right one. Tried to return it but couldn't.

if you are buying this for a Ford 2011 E-150 XLT Club wagon, which is what I have, you need to confirm the type of connection you have for the wiper linkage arm. My original wiper motor has a round bolt that the linkage arm bolts to. This new wiper motor, which I have confirmed with my local auto parts store is the correct part, (they ordered one in cross referencing my original part # and it also has a squared keyed connection.. not round).. and we all know you can't put a square peg in a round hole.My national chain auto parts store had no suggestions and I needed to get my van running again.. so fortunately I own a Dremel tool and after a bit of difficult grinding of the hardened steel linkage arm, I engineered a square hole to fit the square key on the new motor shaft.. so far so good...I don't think Amazon will let me say anything negative about Ford, so I won't.. if you own a Ford I probably don't need to..I am retired and a fairly good mechanic... I will simply say.. I just LOVE working on my Ford van..π
