I had to remove the compressor on my car for a few months because it was just worn out and the clutch bearing was shot.. So I just put a pulley bracket on and drove it 'til I wanted to fix it. When I finally installed a new compressor I pulled vac and put a can of R134a in, the compressor was pulling the low side down to negative pressure. The oil in the old expansion valve had dried up inhibiting flow.. I bought this Expansion valve it came after a few days, I pulled the evap core out of the dash and replaced the valve, adding a couple ounces of Pag oil to the lines,and lubricating the new o-rings(that I had to furnish, they were not included) I then charged the AC and had good pressures with a 40F drop from ambient. I went on vacation in the car and had good AC for the entire trip and it still works.
