The box it comes in, it’s folded so you have to place it in the sun for a few hours and it flattens out great .Excellent fit, Everything lined up perfect used factory screws on tailgate to screw it down. There are no factory screws at the bottom of the tailgate. I added three self tapping screws to secure it better but not needed.This was put on a 2025 Dodge Ram 1500

This is easy to install using the existing screws and trim to fit. It's nice that it secures into place.However, I would've expected a slightly higher quality material. It feels very thin and flimsy, and I am not sure how much protection it really provides. Of course, it protects against scratches, but it doesn't feel like it has much padding to absorb larger knocks.

I recently purchased the Tailgate Mat compatible with my 2024 Dodge Ram 1500, and while it serves its purpose, it hasn’t completely met my expectations. Here’s why I’m giving it a 3-star rating:**Functional Protection:**The tailgate mat provides decent protection for the tailgate, helping to prevent scratches and damage from heavy objects. I appreciate having a dedicated mat to keep my truck looking good, especially when transporting tools and equipment.**Compatibility:**It fits well with my 2019-2025 Ram 1500 tailgate, which is a significant plus. It aligns correctly and does not shift around during use, providing reliable coverage.**A Disappointment in Thickness:**However, I found the mat to be thinner than I expected. I was hoping for more substantial padding to protect against dents or heavy impacts. While it offers basic protection, I would have preferred a thicker design for added durability.**Installation Instructions Missing:**Another downside was the lack of installation directions. I had to figure out the best way to secure it without any guidance. Clear instructions would have made the setup process much smoother, as I had to guess at how to place it correctly.**Overall Impression:**Overall, while the Tailgate Mat does the job in terms of protection and compatibility, it falls short in thickness and the absence of installation instructions. It's an acceptable option for light protection, but I would recommend looking for alternatives if you're seeking something more robust and user-friendly.

bonus I just noticed. Any rain that gets under a camper shell door goes under the mat and out past bed to ground.

The shape is right and fits ok. It is sort of floppy and doesn’t have anything other than the existing tailgate screws to hold it down. I had to trim the top edge to keep it from catching on the tonneau cover every time I tried to open it.

This tailgate liner is so thin that cannot provide any protection, it’s like thin rubber skin, I’m returning this product, I cannot recommend this to anyone!
