Got these socks primarily for my dog's anxiety behaviors. He compulsively will lick both his front and back paws when he is feeling anxious which leaves them wet, rough, and sometimes raw. No amount of behavior modification strategies have helped to break this behavior and I was at wit's end. Had tried the sock route before but the previous one's were almost impossible to get on his feet/legs and had a button attached for the velcro which he & I did not like. These socks are a big improvement. The velcro is either glued or sewn (can't tell) to the sock so no more button to irritate his skin. These socks have good stretch making it easier to get on him and I found the sizing to be more accurate as well. Like other dogs, he will also do the slip & slide across uncarpeted floors when playing which had also become a concern; but with the non-slip feature on these socks that is no longer an issue.I would not use these for outside as they are not very thick or waterproof but they are perfect for inside use.

Firstly, take good measurements before ordering, because if the boots are too small, your dog will walk as though injured and could even roll forward over its front paws. This is partly due to the no heal design of the sock (think “tube sock”). For proper fit and comfort, the velcro strap needs to go above the dog’s “carpal pad” beyond it’s main footprint, so order a size larger if need be. That said, these dog socks are well made, and during my fingers-on-a-burner test, insulated up to 140 degrees F of sustained contact before being overwhelmed by the heat. Beyond that, keep the dog moving or pick it up over scorching asphalt, concrete, and steel grates. And given their rubber coated knit construction, I think cold weather would be their wheelhouse. Note also that the knitted design makes these a challenge to put on if the dog’s nails (especially that dew claw) are not trimmed, so don’t be in a rush. CharlieP is thinking maybe, for hot climates, leather booties with heels might be better, but if rubber coated knitted tube sock booties are what you’re after, then yes, get these.

itle: Great Socks for Husky Puppies on Hardwood FloorsWe got these socks for our new husky puppy, as she was having trouble walking on our hardwood floors. Huskies have a lot of fur between their paw pads, which is perfect for snow and ice, but not so great on tile and hardwood. These lightweight socks are designed for indoor use.The socks have rubber grips all around the foot area, providing extra traction, so your dog can walk more easily even if they turn or shift positions. The material is soft and well-made, and the velcro strap secures the sock above the ankle, ensuring they stay on.We decided to use the four-pack and split them into two sets, only putting them on her rear paws. This allows us to wash one set while she wears the other. At first, when we put them on, she walked like she was stepping in something uncomfortable, lifting her legs high and outward. However, after a couple of days, she got used to them and now wears them indoors all the time.Overall, these socks are a fair price, offer good value, and are easy to put on. Just be sure to measure your dog’s paws (all of them), average the measurements, and check the provided sizing chart. The sizing is spot on, and if you're between two sizes, it's best to go with the larger one.

I ordered these for our dog bc we live in the snowbelt, and even though we keep him off the streets, the salt mixes with snow and burns his paw pads. We combat this by cleaning them any time he comes back inside, and using a little paw pad balm. We figured these would be good for putting on his feet after we put the balm on, so the balm didn't get on the floor, he didn't have to walk around with cold, sticky paws. The floor around our entry door and kitchen get wet and muddy from the snow and work boots too, so ideally these will protect him from anything tracked in there. These look like the doggie version of hospital socks- they're mid weight knit socks with little rubber grips on the bottom for traction. They have little canvas velcro straps that helps keep the socks in place. I was a little worried about the size- I have a big Cane Corso/Bull Mastiff mix, so his paws are huge. These actually fit pretty well though. A bit difficult to get past the dew claws, and of course, your dog rarely helps you put them on, but not at all difficult once you've done it a few times.I can't say they stay up super well. The velcro straps help, but my guy is also not crazy about this newfangled idea on his feet, and still paws, rubs, slides, and chews them off most of the time. I just toss them in the wash and start over the next day; hopefully he'll get used to them and life will get easier. As far as durability... So far, surprisingly good. My dog's claws are like talons, so anything fabric is at risk around him, but no snags so far. I don't think these will fit a small dog, they'll probably be too loose to stay on. They say indoor/outdoor use, and I guess you could, but it probably depends on your dog and terrain. They're really just socks, so unless you're protecting them from hot pavement, they're going to get wet and make your dog's paws even colder; they're definitely not built for any outdoors except grass, sidewalk, and pavement. For indoors they're great though, especially if you have slippery wood or vinyl flooring.
