Threads on the nut don't match the body so the fitting cannot be tightened. I tried filing the threads with no luck.

It's so hard to find the right fittings these days. i'm fixining an old compressor and needed the right fitting to make that happen. this was it and it fit just right. I miss the days when i could go to a hardware store and find the exact thing i needed. But this is the next best thing i guesss
