I don’t recommend this product. It’s not designed for duel exhausts. For it to fit you have to move to exhaust off center for the step to recline making the whole truck look bad.

This is my 2nd Amp Research bumper step, the 1st I put on a Super Duty I use to own. Amazing product! I just installed this step on my Ram Sport and it fits great. I read Terry Chapman's review and did what he recommended, worked perfect.Re Terry Chapman review: When attaching to the truck, it WILL touch the tail pipe if left hanging by its own weight prior to torqueing the bolts. But hand pressure in the opposite direction while torqueing will result in plenty of clearance between the tail pipe and the step structure. I have approx. 3/8 inch gapWorks great and very well built. You won't regret buying it.

Excellent product, installed it on my 2021 RAM in about 1 hour. Hardest part was that I was laying on my back to install the step on my truck. I watched a video on how to install the step which made it an easy install.

This is a nice step, however the instructions are borderline useless. They are just images. I guess from China. This is not a job for someone without good tools . The image shows the way bracket should be put together which is wrong so do the opposite. Also you will have to move your exhaust as it will hit. Don't follow their suggestion. Move rubber mount for exhaust. The brace that it tells you to remove from truck will need to be cut off as you will never get to the one nut. Step seems good but not a super easy install.

2018 Ram Laramie EcoDiesel with dual exhaust.Like most, I was hesitant to spend the big $$$ for just a step, but now that I have it I must say it was money well spent. I am not tall, nor young, so getting in and out of the bed has been a challenge. Not any more! My reasoning was that if the step prevents a sprained ankle or worse, it is already worth it.As an Engineer myself, I am very satisfied with the design and build quality of all of the components. Once installed, it is VERY sturdy; the step extends and retracts easily; and the step itself is good size and has rounded edges.All of the proper hardware was included, and the assembly/ installation instructions were adequate. Took me about 1 hour to install (but I could do it again in 20 minutes).When attaching to the truck, it WILL touch the tail pipe if left hanging by its own weight prior to torqueing the bolts. But hand pressure in the opposite direction while torqueing will result in plenty of clearance between the tail pipe and the step structure. I have approx. 3/8 inch gap when closed (see picture), so that is fine with me. If the tail pipe on the gasoline version of a Ram is the same, there should be no problem. Made in USA makes me happy too- well done AMP Research!

I installed this to my RAM 1500 truck with dual exhaust. It is one of the best add ons I have! When I need to get on the bed, it’s now way easier. I weight 240 lbs., yet it still feels sturdy and solid when I step on it. And when not in use, it easily kicks under the bumper. Highly recommend!

The step is well made (although our package was missing two critical parts when it arrived). HOWEVER, it is advertised to fit a 2018 Ram 1500 with dual exhaust, and it does not. The step can be installed, but every time you raise it, it hits the exhaust system. This is NOT acceptable. Step was returned.
