Cheaply made look alike .. not made to safety standards.. My OE defroster lasted 20 years purchased 2 of these cheapeies from amazon the first one lasted 10 months and this one lasted 1 day when I smelled burning plastic.. really disappointed and angry that some manufacture not contemplating people's safteyUpdate .. purchased an OE defroster and still working flawlessly.. lesson learned ... didn't want to lay out the money for OE which I eventually ended up doing anyway plus two cheapies and time wasted moving contents to our summer patio fridge and installing new defroster x3 plus a possible fire danger... I am not exaggerating here . A Lot of our food had to be thrown out because of the burt plastic smell... my glass water jug which I refused to throw out smelled for 2 weeks even after washing multiple times.. that burnt plastic smell infiltrated everything.. HEAD THIS WARNING POTENTIAL BUYERS!

Saved me a big repair bill, and allowed me to complete the job in just an hour once I got the (frostless) fridge defrosted, so I was able to save all the food too!

They are cheap . Price says it all . I’ve changed this part 1/2 a dozen times. I always have a sparepre-purchased . But still worth the money. The actual part is about $80. The only reason I don’t buy it is be because if it is as well made as these I’ll be PO’d

Fits perfectly and works perfectly. Dismantling the interior of the freezer can be awkward but with some patience you can do it. It's easier for a small person to do it than a large person.

Good deal on this kit as buying these independently is costly even if you can find a parts supply house and skip buying from the manufacturer.
