Worked great once our Standard toilet started running all the time. We had the toilet with the 4” drain and this converted it to a regular style one but with a 3” drain. Hubby dreaded doing it and put it off until we got a high water bill from the toilet running all the time. We knew we wanted to convert it since we had the toilet less than 2 years before it started running all the time. We read it was a common problem with our toilet and the fix was to convert it unless you want to buy the more expensive Standard part every 2 years. Once he actually did it, it was easy, he just had to turn off water at toilet, take the top of the tank off and change out the one that came with the toilet to this one. It looked like it would barely cover the 4” hole, but it;s been working perfectly. We bought another one of these so when the toilet in the other bathroom starts running all the time he can change it too.

It did the job. But, I had to do it twice. It comes with a hard plastic gasket below the soft gasket inside the tank. That caused a slow leak and refill over time. I considered using plumbers puddy to increase the tank seal, but that is not recommended by professionals. So, I took out the hard plastic gasket below the soft gasket inside the tank and that fixed the slow leak. It was decreasing a good seal. I think other competing products like Fluidmaster and others don’t include that hard plastic 2” ring gasket. It messed up my install until I removed it.

When compared to the OEM flush valve this one is WAY TO SMALL. It won't center itself let alone seal. There are some more $$$ that are not prime. I guess I'm going to have to risk buying 3rd party.

This is one of the best out there, but your reservoir needs to be designed for it.

Functionally, the o-ring seal, refill tube, and chain-flapper work well so far. I had to use a strap wrench to get the flush valve's lock nut off, but the new one was easy to install. The bolts included for the tank are cheap plastic (which can break under horizontal duress) and the tank-to-bowl nuts (not pictured) require a flat wrench (not included) to secure. Their sealing washers also seemed too large for my toilet, so I chose to keep my existing metal bolts.Had been experiencing phantom flush before purchase. This unit appears to have resolved the issue.

Seems to be well made and reasonable. Pictured how I was going to accomplish the installation in my mind and when I finally got to the task I realized I had a different type of toilet. This part is for a two piece toilet, well I had a one piece. So if you are tackling the task that's the first thing you should look for. My bad.

Toilet had been running my water bill up for months before I realized it. My flush valve and seal had gone bad and was leaking into the bowl. This took care of it right away
