The main properties of EPDM are its outstanding Heat, Ozone and Weather resistance. It will not break down from the UV rays of the Sun like normal Rubber will! These are manufactured for outdoor use, They have a durometer hardness of 55A-65A and a temperature range of -20° to +212° F. They will outlast your bike! The Washers are made from PEEK (polyetheretherketone) polymer! No one else on Amazon has these, they are custom made for this purpose! When compared to nylon PEEK has inherently higher strength and temperature-resistance properties! These are the BEST, bar none! Now, take a close look at the screws! These are not painted screws like all the rest! Painted screws will chip and the paint will flake off after a short time. These screws are Hot Black-Oxide Finished Pan Head Phillips Machine Screw! They are 18-8 Stainless Steel and will not rust! They are not a shiny black screw like the painted one, but a more Satin Black one. They are 1-1/4" Long, not the 1 inch length like the factory screws. They have a better reach and will far outlast any painted screw.

Ordered these about 10pm Tues they arrived 10:30am Wed morning.The screws were anodized black not painted. Worked great on 2013 rg.Only way they could be better is if the button head on the screws were bigger like the stock ones

These are the first well nuts I have ever bought so I cannot compare them with stock or any other aftermarket products. The week but itself seemed to tighten down like it should but I used my trim screws on them instead of the screws they came with. As far as the screws are concerned they appear to be painted black. The ones I received are chipped and have areas that the paint is gone.

They are cheaply made, and are not the same diameter as some of the better ones. If not extremely careful they will fall in through the fairing. There are better keep looking!
