The American Harvester Cider Press and Grinder is our double-tub model that brings together the best features of mills and presses from the 20th century. Each tub has an approximate capacity of a box of pulped apples. Includes two juice racks for easy flow of juice. Our heavy-duty, hard maple assembly eats apples with ease and is simple to clean.

Tub Complete
The American Harvester’s two hardwood tubs have beveled staves, which aid in cleaning.
Cast Iron Flywheel
The flywheel is 18lb cast iron construction and is attached to the grinding shaft for a smooth grinding speed.

We were all very excited to upgrade our 70s Apple grinder and press with this. We press about 60gal of cider each year. Unfortunately on the very first use, it immediately started leaking a metallic substance into our apples. We fixed it by using cloths on either side of the wheel. By the third use the wood on the inside of the grinder has expanded making it nearly impossible to turn the wheel and grind apples.We reverted back to using our vintage grinder from the 70s and it reminded us of how much easier it was before we switched to this grinder/press, making us wish we had never switched in the first place. It’s a lot of money for a big disappointment.

I bought this 7 years ago and it has made over 1000 gallons of apple cider. its seen its better days but sure been worth it.
