These inserts are moderately priced but have some very specific idiosyncracies. In case you're wondering I checked all of the inserts in the package. First off, the lower portion of the insert has very aggressive knurling. This can be an asset as it will help produce a strong bond between the insert, glue/epoxy, and carbon shaft. If you're test fitting, it can damage the inside of the shaft when you remove the insert to cut the shaft down a bit. Not a big deal for the shaft if you're cutting it, but I now have 3 carbon splinters in the tip of my index finger. Additionally, the inserts only fit half of my field tips. The threaded portion is fine, but none of my Saunders points fit. Furthermore, none of my heavyweights (150gr-300gr) fit. The smooth part of the shank is a larger diameter than the smooth part of the insert. Blackout points in 100gr & 125gr 5/16 diameter do work. I highly recommend that you check that your points/broadheads fit before permanently installing them in your shafts. YMMV.

These work if you get the right arrow size these are made for, they hold in with simple thin type superglue rather well to the bow arrows I just made with some odd plastic stiff small glue on fletching system with nock on end that can fix if fletching if need be making some more fletching for them but that is not the point. I want people to know that having tested the tips and they work well when stabbing the field tip into some thick cardboard wiggling it around then pulling out the field tip. The field tip stayed in and the superglue held well keeping in the the arrow.

These inserts fit my standard diameter arrows without issue, little on the light side. Field points and broadheads threaded on just fine.

No problems with any of my target tips threading into them... Didn't find any machining errors, though, there was a 1" curled chip of loose aluminum in the bag with the inserts. Not a big deal. BUT... these inserts slide into my .246ID shafts with ZERO resistance!I used some 15 min epoxy for the first two arrows pictured, I think I probably should have also wrapped some tape around them to fatten them up a little. This isn't even necessarily a case of "you get what you pay for," they are literally advertised as fitting a range of shaft diameters, ".244-.246" in plain english, so, I'm not marking the score down too much. When I run through this bag, I will buy factory inserts, not mess around with this third party stuff.

I used some superglue to seat these into some carbon arrows and it worked great. Screwed my tips right in!
