i needed a backup j-arm for my PVS-14 setup. I picked this one. Its already better then my previous milsurp one, so now I run this one and use my old one as a spare. My thoughts:Pros:- nice and stable. Not much wiggle- locks up tight- metal construction!Cons:- heavier then the plastic milsurp ones- had to work the breakaway feature several times before it would actually release. I think the metal just needed to be worn in.Great unit to hold a PVS14. It might be a bit heavier, but its good to go!

No flex like the plastic ones. It also doesn't pop out of its detents like some plastic ones.

Build quality seems sturdy.Fit a RHNO mount well, but screw was a little wobbly when attaching a PVS14.Overall a decent mount for the price.

Flip up auto shut off does not work. Fit is also a little sloppy. It is a J-arm for less than $50 though.Edit: Customer service was very good. Added a star back for that experience.

The product info is wholly false. This J Arm is all plastic/polymer, with the exception of the tightening knob. Also, don't trust the pictures. It is missing the metal contacts & wire mechanism for your PVS-14's auto-shutoff. Will be returning ASAP, would give 0 stars if the system would let me. Plastic feels like a cheap toy.

overall construction seems good quality, but mounting screw machining was poor and the screw was too long. Additionally it wouldn't clip into the bayonet mount. The spring loaded clip was way too long and no way to adjust the mount or this j -arm piece.

I ordered this and received it in a few days as I got it out of the package. Everything looked great. It locked up into my rhino 2 Very nicely and then tried to attach it by screwing it into my PVS14 Notice it would not seat all the way and very wobbly after further investigation. You can see that the screw was not properly machined and is roughly cut. I ordered a replacement hopefully the replacements had better quality Control. Other than that, it is A nice Jarm Like I said in the title, I want to like it
