I purchased these exterior vinyl shutters for the outside of my bay window for a littlepop of color on an otherwise plain house.I realized I purchased vinyl shutters, but I did not expect them to be more like hard plastic, no weight to them.,and completely hollow. If you accidentally stepped on them they'd break.We were attaching them to stucco, no instructions for how to do that. The colored plastic matching caps provided were to be put on top of the wood screws provided. So it was necessary to reinforce the back with wood to support the hollow shutter by drilling holes into the stucco to put the plastic screws in, we could not use stucco screws, as the matching caps would not fit on them.It was a hassle, and disappointing, but they look good!

Kinda junky. Really flimsy and even cheaper mounting hardware with no instructions. Wish I had my money back.

These shutters are SO easy to install and they look stunning! I also love that I can get a quality product on Amazon and have it delivered to my door without having to make a trip to one of the big box stores and then lug them home. They have transformed my house and created awesome curb appeal!

really good shutter, but DO NOT BUY if you may may have to paint it. Paint will not stick to this vinyl.. Buy the paintable if you plan to change the color.. This is a good color if you have a charcoal roof and are trying to tie the shutters in with the roof color.

These are made by the same manufacturer who supplies Lowe's Storm Shield brand. Buying direct from the factory through Amazon saved us a ton of $$$. Very happy with the shutters. Slightly nicer than the off-the-shelf Home Depot shutters.UPDATE: We ordered 15 pairs of these shutters in varying sizes to do our whole house. We didn't get them all up before winter but the ones we installed last summer still look great. If we get a nice weekend, we put up another pair and nothing is coming out of the boxes warped. We did open every box when it arrived to make sure everything was as it should be. I can't imaging how these would warp while in someone's storage under normal circumstances.2nd UPDATE: After the winter we got the rest of the shutters installed. It's been just over a year and they all look as good as when they came out of the box. There were a couple that were screwed down too tight and I see the dimple in the plastic, otherwise, still very happy with the quality and the purchase.

I don't know what Brittany's problem was. I bought these after reading Brittany's review. I took a chance on them...I'm glad I did. Then again, I live in sunny and warm Florida and didn't have to deal with the cold.These shutters are beautiful. They arrived undamaged and were smartly packaged. They come with mounting instructions and all the hardware needed, but I mounted them using furring strips on the inner sides so the screws are not visible. The color and texture is consistent and looks like rear wood when up close. My dad is a builder and he was impressed with their quality.If I had more windows, I'd buy more.
