I am getting into habit of changing the tranny filter every oil change. Probably not necessary, but easy to do and good insurance, plus it gives an opportunity to check the magnet.

This is an Allison original part and I have used them for 400,000 miles without issue. This specific 6pk did not come with magnets so you may have to order one separately if the original one disappears. This is easy to install. I would love to let a shop change it for me but after the mark-up on the part plus labor at $175/hr with a one hour minimum, changing it myself is the only logical option.
