These are excellent field points. I got sick of having to relighted my field points after every shot figured try these. Well they work exactly as designed no more tightening the heads after every shot.

Although this is a good idea and I'm sure that the o-rings will help keep the tips tight; the execution is bad and there is very poor quality control on these tips. The product description and product packaging both indicate that the tip diameters are 9/32 of an inch; however, I opened the package and measured each tip and they all measured 39/128 of an inch or 3/128 oversized. While this may seem like a very small amount it makes a HUGE difference. This resulted in the tips being too large for my small diameter carbon arrows (your tip must be the same size or slightly smaller than the arrow shaft or they will hang up and rip apart a typical target when removing the arrow). The first photo shows the measured diameter and the second photo shows a comparison of these tips (on the left) to tips that actually measure 9/32 (on the right). In the second photo you can clearly see how much these tips (circled in red) overhang a 7.25 mm ( just a smidgen over 9/32) OD arrow shaft. So be warned if you are looking to use these tips your arrow shafts will need to be 5/16 of an inch. Additionally, although I don't have a dial indicator and did not measure it there is quite a bit of runout between the threaded portion of the shaft and the tip OD, meaning the shaft is not centered with the outer diameter. So I guess I'm still on the hunt for a good quality low cost field tip.

These are great, there are other ways to get points to stay in (locktite, wax, etc.) but these are an easy no-hassle way to keep them from coming loose but also easy to remove when you want to. With locktite many times it's hard to get them out without heat.

The o-rings bunch up after being screwed in a few times, but it doesn't affect their ability to hold and not come unscrewed from your insert. The paint coating is very durable and has held up to tough dry carpet targets here in AZ. The blunt shape helps fight against robin hoods and punctured fletchings as well.
