The Ad pictures resemble a much darker brushed nickel or stainless steel color. But it is actually a bright shiny chrome aluminum. It did not match or look good with my front door hardware.My pictures show the true color (still in it's clear plastic wrap) next to a gold color metal for comparison.Description measurements are all accurate.Returned this.

We had a huge gap under our back door and this product worked to seal it off for the most part. There is still one corner we have to deal with, but it’s better than a 3/4 inch gap all along the width of the door. It was definitely not easy to get on and we damaged the paint on the door.

Worked great to replace the flimsy plastic one that crumbled after 20 years.Just plan out the replacement step by step:1. Double-check your measurements to make sure you get the product that you need.2. Do you have the right tools for the job? (drilling a pilot hole for the screws makes things a LOT easier)3. Avoid doing this when it's -40C out with blowing winds. Having a door swing open into your face hurts. (Um...just saying.)4. Depending on your door's fit, you may or may not need to use the little rubber gasket it comes with; hopefully you can use it, but even without it, you can mound the 'bracket' a bit lower to make up for it.

Good quality product. Couldn't make it work 1 3/8" door but fitting the door would have been fine with a the 3/8" filler piece I bought. The problem is the adjustable threshold is too tall to permit the hang down on this device. Maybe I should have measured and made sure, first, that it would fit before cutting it to length. Not too concerned given it was a good price and probably will work on my other outside door.

Since this was an exact replacement for the old one on the bottom of my door, I was able to install it in about 2 minutes. It just works. (The old one was worn out because the door was not hung correctly. the product itself was not at fault.)
