I ordered this product to give myself more comfortable space while playing my Gamecube. As other reviews have mentioned, it is tight putting the Gamecube controller end in the plastic part of the extender but not enough to make me fear that it is damaging the controller. At the console, it seems to connect just fine with no signs that it is too loose. Overall, I am pleased with the product and its quality for the price.

for $12.99 four extension cables to enjoy sitting further away from the tv is quite a nice price. the build and construction on these looks to be up to par for what I'd expect buying a cable extension whether 3rd party or official.examined each one that arrived and they all look good to me. we only ever really will be using one or two at a time so even if one does give out over time we have a few extras put away just in case.wouldn't hesitate to buy again. will update if that ever changes.

The cables work very well. The only problem is that the connection where you plug your controller into the extension is very resistant for the first few tries. However, after the controller cable is inserted a few times, it becomes easier to do.Only real problem with the cables is that the plug that goes into the gamecube does not fit perfectly, so the cord will easily be dislodged from the gamecube if you pull on it. As long as you're not straining the cables though, there should be no problem.

These work great! It really helps with the short cords from the controller's. I would recommend this to anyone with a GameCube

These cables are more than adequate to get the job done. They extend the short GameCube wire enough to sit comfortably. I did not daisychain them as I only sit 10 feet away from the TV. They were cheap and work just fine.As for all of the negative reviews, I can understand why but I'll try and put it in perspective. Original Nintendo products are of the highest build quality you can possibly buy in any product. My original NES, SNES, N64 and GameCube controller's all work flawlessly after many drops and crashes, disassembly to remove skin gunk, etc. That being said, we have all come to expect the controller plugs and buttons to have an exceptionally high-quality about them. Here is why I think people are having problems with these extensions. The plug that gets inserted into the GameCube or Wii's port is a tiny bit undersized, causing the wire to be a bit loose on the console side. Now the cable sits in there just fine, however it takes half the force to pull the cable out as it does an OEM plug. This is not a problem unless you were pulling on the plug while gaming, which you shouldn't be. This is a non-issue for me.Then there is the opposite side of the cable that goes into the controller, that side is a bit tight. On first use, the controller's plug will have a hard time going into the extension. With a little bit of force, insert the cable all the way. They will make is a resounding click. Then hold the end of both cables nice and firm and unplug. After I did this twice, the plug now snaps in just fine to any of my controllers. It looks like it just needs to be broken in. One-thousandth of an inch doesn't sound like much but it makes or breaks a very tight connection to a loose connection. This is also a non-issue.Build quality of aftermarket products will never rival Nintendo's, unfortunately. However these cables work just fine and I have plugged them in and unplugged them dozens of times in the past two weeks, I see no reason for the plastic to start falling apart or the cables to start breaking. If my experience is less than stellar, I will update this to reflect that. For now, go ahead and get these cables they will get the job done. Just do not gorilla them out of your system or out of the controllers, I could see them breaking when mishandled.

The extenders are great because normal Game Cube controllers are just a little too short. To be exact, these are almost exactly the same length of a regular game cube controller's, effectively doubling the length the controller can reach to, but I noticed a few issues when I was playing with the cables. For one, my cables were fairly difficult to connect the controller to. It felt unnaturally snug, as compared to just plugging a controller into a GameCube controller slot. Secondly, I found that sometimes!e the signal all would not go through the cables fully and would prevent the user from doing certain things in game (for example, not being able to jump with "A" while still being able to move). I just unplugged and replugged the connectors and it worked after that, but it might become a bigger issue down the line.

I bought this for my Wii to use with my GameCube controllers to play some of my older GameCube games since I hadn't played them in a while. The living room setup is much too long between the couch and the Wii to only use the GameCube controller. These virtually double the length of the GameCube controller and work really well. There is no lag also. I only wish I had brought this pretty much when I bought my Wii to continue the use of some great GameCube games.

My GameCube isn't very close to the sofa, so naturally I bought these extensions. It does, indeed, come with four of them. The cords are black, so they're inconspicuous, and also quite sturdy. For fun, I plugged all of them in end-to-end, and I could play Windwaker from outside the room. If you haven't got the money for wireless GameCube controllers, definitely pick these up.UPDATEOne by one, each cord failed abysmally. The build quality is ridiculously bad. The insulation peeled on three, exposing the wires. The plastic connectors would even pop off and slide down the cord. I plugged in one cord and it got seriously stuck, so I tried to pull it out with my teeth and (at no fault of the product) the metal connector chipped my tooth. I had to use pliers to get the cord out of the socket. So of 4 cables, I have only one that works, and I don't know for how long. And I didn't even use these extensions regularly.
