May work. May not. Time will tell. I don't want to use rusted old nuts. Any reason this didn't come with everything that is needed ?

I purchased this part because my 1991 DLX 4WD Pickup was roaring very loud all the time. I eventually figured out that the fan clutch was apparently stuck such that the fan was always spinning at full speed. The sound was loud even at idle speed. The casting on this part wasn't as nice as the OEM (original) part, but it looked exactly like the original part. After I replaced it the fan worked perfectly. Within 60 seconds after a cold start the loud roaring sound went away and it was back to clearly hearing the 22RE tapping away as normal :).

This fan clutch stopped the overcooling situation on my truck, the opposite of most people’s problem. I originally replaced the silicone in the old clutch but it still wasn’t working properly so I went for this OE Aisin clutch. I’ve noticed my engine temp will rise on the first leg of my trip to work but that it’s completely fine on the trip home so I May still have air in the system. This part is affordable and much better than cheap replacements.

You can open your old one and replace the silicone fluid inside or you can just buy a new one like I did. it worked great on my 1987 toyota 4runner same OEM quality part

Perfect fit on my '87 Toyota 22RE. Exactly the same as the AISIN factory one that I took off. Fan makes a LOT less noise now, I should have done this a long time ago. Why pay more for the same exact part from the dealer? I know others have messed with buying the silicone oil and rebuilding their old fan clutch, but at this price it's just not worth the hassle. Easy replacement, I was able to unbolt the fan shroud from the radiator and wiggle it down and out, then just loosen up the belts and remove the 4 nuts on the water pump. Whole job took about 30 minutes.
