This wick is absorbant, and keeps the humidifier running smoothly. (I've had other wicks that have fallen apart, bloat out of the frame, and even grow mold! This led to replacing them at least monthly.) I put one of these in December 1, and it's still working perfectly six weeks later.

Run our aircare from mid fall to late spring. Buy new filters every year and just rinse them until stored. In the fall start process over again.

This store is a good price compared to others that will send you the exact same product, boxed identically. Also, the shipping here was a day faster. Note that the "Quantity" number refers to the number of packs, each of which is the equivalent of a box of two filters.

Came quickly. Difficult to find this wick anywhere else. Seems a little more expensive than I used to pay but not sure. Fits the humidifiers we have used for years.

These are little (possibly permanent, but bought as "insurance."We have used one of these little Essick/Air Table Top humidifiers on the floor in our bedroom.Our 115 year-old Queen Anne Victorian house has circulating hot water heat, no ductwork.We like the unit so much, it being quiet enough for us to sleep and easy to fill and easy to carry container that we just bought three more for downstairs.We don't mind having to fill them daily as they work so well.We had a different kind downstairs and put it out in the trash. The metal grids became a mess and the float got all messed up and the thing would not come on. It was also noisy. A bad design compared to these little EssickAir units.We appreciate the promptness of the delivery and the impressive Amazon service.nancy morse

These replacement wicks essentially do exactly what they are supposed to do. They fit in my humidifier and without them it would not work. They're a fairly simple construction so there's not much that can go wrong (I've never had any issues with glue failing or anything).The biggest problem is that you'll be buying them often if you don't keep them from getting mildew-y. The don't clean well (or at all) so I've just been using the bacteria treatment each time I fill up the tanks. Since I started doing that I can go an entire winter season on a twin pack (my humidifier uses two at a time, I don't know if there are ones that only use a single wick). No weird smells, no mildew growth, just effective humidifying of air in my bedroom.
