Enclosed in the durable 16-gauge, black powder-coated heat shield; this air intake system features a washable/reusable conical air filter that improves airflow for increased horsepower and torque. This intake system also features a 3-angle adaptor and a heat-insulating black powder-coated aluminum tube that replaces the stock intake tract and directs increased air flow with improved volumetric efficiency for maximum performance. One-piece heat shield requires little or no assembly and the filter is constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. This system mounts to the factory lower intake housing for a hassle-free installation. 5-1/2" Conical Filter with Inverted Top- This intake utilizes a huge, 5-1/2" oval conical Pro 5R performance air filter with inverted top for maximum flow. This 5-layer progressive, oiled cotton gauze air filter provides maximum flow for increased horsepower and torque. Top Mounted Heat Shield Design- aFe developed this heat shield to snap onto the top of the lower half of the factory air box to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing factory mounting locations. Wrinkle Black One Piece Tube- This kit uses a wrinkle black powder-coated aluminum one piece tube to direct increased air flow with improved volumetric efficiency for maximum performance. Also utilizing a one-piece design makes it a simple and hassle-free installation.

This CAI sounds amazing. It's loud under acceleration but sounds stock while cruising. Not sure about power gains, but honestly it sounds good enough that I don't care.

Instructions are useless. Throw them away. If you have common sense it'll take less then 30 minutes to install. Very happy with how well made all the products are in this. Noticed the sound difference immediately, if you don't like a loud truck I would definitely suggest you buy something else. Sounds awesome with my muffler delete as well. Noticed a little more pep from the truck instantly as well. Very happy with everything.

Great product, makes the truck sound way better. Let's you really hear the intake sound of the truck. Only had it for a couple weeks but so far has improved my gas mileage

It has a noticeable power increase and makes the truck sound more stronger. I felt like this was built better then it's rival k&n. K&n only offered plastic tubbing but the aFe gives your a metal tubing instead. I live in the city with stock air box I got 14.4/100km and now in the city I get 11.6

Gives a nice overall throaty sound to the truck when you accelerate. Still playing with some of the tuning and calibration of the engine.

You can't beat the sound of this intake, IF you are looking for something loud. Right now I only have the intake, but I can't imagine how it would sound with exhaust. Great product!
