Son took puck to the side of the neck. No marks or bruising. It sure did it’s job. A lesser quality neck guard would have been a different outcome.

Bought for son, playing U15AA. He loves the fit and doesn’t feel a shot! Once guard is warmed up with body heat it softens and we didn’t need to remove any excess. Well worth the money and ensure our goalie is safe!

Top level goalie protector. Used for semi pro level hockey and no pain upon impact of shots on that area.

comfortable! when loose, it tends to get a little stuck on chesty, so try it tighter.

I was skeptical of the price of this neck guard and whether it would be much better than the Bauer I’ve been wearing for the last few seasons, that was half the price. Out of the box, I was even more skeptical. It felt overly stiff and that it would restrict my ability to move my head to look down.5 minutes into my first warmup, it softened right up and was surprising comfortable. Neck/head movement in it is fantastic and it’s flex and light weight make me forget I’m even wearing one. Price was a bit on the high side, but 100% worth it my opinion. My only concern at this point id the durability of the outer material, as it is quite thin. So far, it’s held up great over the first 10 games or so though.

If you’re looking for a comfortable Pro level neck guard, this is the one. It’s barely noticeable even under my padded shirt that also has its own chest/collarbone protection. Took a deflected shot to the side of my neck this morning and barely felt it.You can trim the neck padding if you want (according to the packaging instructions) but I wouldn’t recommend this and don’t think it is needed unless you have a very short neck.
