The mount system is similar to how an NVG (Night Vision Goggle) would install with a slide and tightening design. Although, tilting adjustment depends on the type of bracket you install.

What is ABS?
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a plastic used for its versatility in making keyboards, luggage cases, and other types of impact-resistant products. It is reasonably strong at high and low temperatures. It is strong and rigid even when it is used heavily. For these reasons, it is commonly used for all types of helmets across a wide range of sports and is a go-to for ipoob for maximum safety and usability.
What is EVA?
EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) is a foam that is ideal for making helmets more impact resistant and can provide bouyancy so that the paddling helmet is easy to retrieve.

Size Adjustment Dial

Dial Protective Cushion
All ipoob watersport helmets have a protective cushioning as a part of the design to relieve stress and strain on the back of the head and neck.
Chin Protective Pad
A standard on paddling helmets is protective chin padding meant to relieve strain on the chin and jaw when dropping into rough water.
Helmet Test Lab
A Y-Strap design (17mm) which is an ideal design for stabilizing the helmet from rocking to far forward or backward. A Retention strap system can also withstand abrasive wear and tear and is waterproof per 7.7(Whitewater CE 1385 Standard).

I was hoping this would work for an upcoming river trip, but it was just too uncomfortable and felt cheaply made. I returned it and opted for a higher quality helmet without a built in mount.

Paid 60 dollars for a helmet that's scuffed new in the box. It doesn't seem to compromise the integrity of the helmet, but it's annoying pay so much money just to have arrive pre-screwed up. The gopro mount also appears to be slightly angled.

Protect Your Skull!Most surfers don't wear a helmet. I guess it's not cool.When I was young, nobody wore bicycle helmets. Now everybody wears bicycle helmets.When I was young, nobody wore ski helmets. Now everybody wears ski helmets.When I learned to skydive in the 1970's we wore no helmets, leather caps or motorcycle helmets. Now most skydivers wear full-face helmets designed specifically for skydiving.I got the message: PROTECT YOUR SKULL!Since I started to learn surfing in the past year, I've had 3 collisions. First, my own board came down on me in a spill and the fin cut my head open. I have a 1" scar on the top of my head. Luckily, that's all.Second, I got hit by the board of a surfer who didn't have his board tethered to his ankle like he should have. Luckily, it was a minor blow that caused me no damage.Third, a surfer I didn't even see came out of nowhere and fell on top of me while I was crashing. Again, luckily, it was a minor collision with no damage.Those collisions opened my eyes. I don't want to rely on luck any more to protect my skull. I decided to buy this water sports helmet before I ran out of luck. It's lightweight, fits like a glove and is not even noticeable in the water. AND I intend to get some cool videos with the help of the camera mount!Get a helmet. PROTECT YOUR SKULL! It's smart – and it's cool!
