I bought this base in 2010, and attached my own board to make a competition specific teeter. The board finally rotted in 2022, and I took everything apart. The PVC frame/base are fine, despite having been outside only during all seasons for 12 years. The bigger problem was getting a board that was not warped and transporting it to my house. Because the height is adjustable, i mostly left it at mid height, and every dog in my house freely wandered over it as if it was nothing. This translated to zero teeter issues in competitions. A fun piece of home training equipment.

Perfect way to teach the teeter. Well made and easy to use after you make your own board.

The way this appeared on mobile app I was not aware that only base was included. Too much money for just base. Now it's just sitting here. I can't make a board as is suggested in papers in box suggest. Waste of much money.

WOrks as described. I have it low for my dogs as they are just learning agility but I like that it is adjustable.

Fantastic! I bought this and also the following and built my own teeter for agility training:a. 1 piece of 12footx12inchx2inch woodb. Pre-colored paint (I found a can of blue road marking paint in paint department designed to paint parking spaces)c. Wall texture paint - the sort of thing you roll on and it looks like cake frosting/icingd. Optional, fine texture sand which you can mix into paint (same paint department, some "garage or road" paint section)Then I rolled on the texture (item c) left it to dryOptional, mix the texture sand (item d) into the paint (item b)Use paint (item b) to paint the boardAlternatively if you dont wan to buy and transport a 12foot piece of wood I did the following:1. Buy 3 pieces of 6footx12inchx1inch (note the 1inch)2. Lay 2 pieces end to end flat on the ground3. Lay the 3rd piece in the middle of those 2 pieces so that the mid point of this 3rd piece is at the "join" of the other 24. Use 3inch bolts with flat heads (not screws) to attach the 3rd piece to the 2 pieces5. This will create a 12foot long strong board out of 3 pieces which is much easier to move around if unbolted.I suggest you flat headed bolts and not screws to connect pieces so that they can easily be removed should you want to move equipmentI don't know if the following helps but this is what I did to get my dogs interested:Placed equipment in dog play area i.e.wherever I usually play fetch so they felt comfortable around itPlaced pepperoni (my treat of choice) on the equipment at random timesPlaced their fetch toys on equipment so they had to put their feet on it to get toyGave dogs and myself plenty of run up room so they didnt hesitateAnd basically made the equipment fun to explore

Not intended to be a heavy duty, competition piece of equipment, but for a practice teeter it serves its purpose extremely well. My dog was not getting enough exposure on this obstacle in class, so I purchased this item and have been very pleased with it so far. She was able to learn how to do the obstacle at a very low height and then we gradually adjusted it to higher. It's very easy for one person to adjust by themselves and is surprisingly stable.Once you paint your board, when attaching it to the base, you must be careful not to attach it too tightly or it will not pivot freely. Lightweight, but amazingly durable. A great buy!

I purchased this base because my dog was afraid of the teeter in agility class and I knew she needed much more exposure. I went to Home Depot to buy the wood and paint. The directions included are pretty good. The only problem I had was one mis-drilled hole, which I discovered when I couldn't get it attached to the board. I recommend having a 2nd set of hands for that part to ensure you get it right. My dog loved our training sessions on the teeter at the lowest setting. I helped her over at first. She became so much more at ease that after a month or so I raised the height, and to my surprise - she had no problem going over! Would not hesitate to purchase again!

The teeter was as advertised, it is just the base. It works as it should. It is a lot of work to get the board for the teeter. My husband did it, I could not have done it. It's a little expensive for just the base, but it does work and my dog is getting better on the teeter!
