Turn on the switch

Holding the switch on and put backward the backrest
Step 3
Release the switch and the backrest will be locked
Note:The same way to the backrest upright
How to raise the backrest?
Step 1
Pull out the switch
Step 2
Pull up raise the backrest
Step 3
The opposite is to lower the backrest

A good place to install adjusting control is under heat shield ..zoom in You will see.Use top bolt holding heat shield on.2010 ultra classic…In that area of any bike you should be able to install! Dave Seltzer

The directions for the installation of the back rest itself is pretty straight forward. The directions for where to install the seat back release and bracket is non existent. Have no idea where this bracket is supposed to bolt to. That’s why the 4 star review.

Seems pretty sturdy and the install went as the directions covered BUT the directions DID NOT cover how to install or mount the adjustment lever. So here’s a picture of where I mounted mine on the left side.
