I used a buffing wheel and a touch of rouge to really make these babies shine. I'd read the critical reviews and bought them anyway, knowing I can polish them. If you can't or don't want to, these might not be what you want. Love em!

These are great looking bridge pins that help with the sustain of the guitar.

I suggest buying 2 sets and picking out the ones with color to use. They are cool.

The brass part of these looks ok, but the abalone is absolute trash. Poor quality material, poor installation and no finish sanding or buffing. Just raw abalone with pits, cut marks and unevenly seated in the cavity. Stay away from these.

Noticed my tone got noticeably brighter. As far as pegs goDude they are made of metal, i only got these cause my plastic pins finally broke and i was shocked as to how good it sounded after

It's hard to give a completely isolated review of these, since putting them on meant changing strings, so that'll naturally be a bit brighter and different (as they were a different brand of string than I had). However, not only was the sound brighter, but fuller and louder. I was delightfully surprised at how much body and low-end I was getting out of the guitar, and that was just to my ear, not even putting a mic right up to the sound hole or anything. I'm sure the added mass of these bridge pins are transferring more sonic energy to the body of the guitar, which is a dreadnaught mind you, but I still had not heard it put out that much low end or volume before. It was a very full and pleasing sound, being balanced by the brightness of at least the new strings, if not the added brightness of the brass pins. I had hoped to loosen my old strings and only replace the pins, but in doing so, one of the old plastic pins broke, which is all the more reason why upgrading to these was a good choice. They also look really nice, which is just a lovely bonus.

So like other reviewers has specified, the diameter is a bit large for most guitars. I inserted them into my cordless drill and spun em over a metal file in both directions until they fit perfectly. The acoustic guitar I have sounds amazing anyway but these pins made the tone JUMP. Pretty happy and now I don’t have to wonder if I’m gonna break a bridge pin inside the bridge. They’re brass!
