Transmission pan gaskets are the trickiest of them all. 10-12 ft.lbs. of torque is normal and can be achieved by any normal person with hand tightening a deep well socket. (seriously) Only hand tighten bolts with a deep well socket. Then fill your transmission as directed on container. Hand tighten bolts to stop any small leaks that occur. Its that easy. Avoid at all costs using a wrench to tighten these pan bolts.
