This is a godsend for recording on certain Canon cameras. The Canon cameras I use will shut off after 30 minutes of use and I like to not only be able to see myself but to be able to know if the camera is on or shut off. This is saving me from recording to a dead device. I get to use an old iPhone to boot making the possibilities even more broad. I have a thousand of those hanging around.

Works great. Allows me to see what my camera sees. Worked great right out of the box, once I purchased the battery which is not included.

This device has been fantastic for on-the-go use and has helped me streamline my gear. I like to keep a monitor handy for recording during shoots, but my Ninja, while amazing, can get bulky and heavy over time. This setup has made everything so much easier. While it doesn’t have all the features of my PRO monitor, I don’t typically need them in these situations. It’s quick to set up, and since I always have my phone with me, I can leave the PRO monitor at home. This has also been excellent for quick edits and uploading clips on the spot. My only gripe is that you can’t record directly to an SD card, which would have been a great feature. That said, it’s not a deal breaker for me. Overall, this is a significant upgrade compared to previous versions and far better than many other options in the same category. Highly recommended!

Professional Monitoring but weak documentationTurns your iPhone into a professional monitor with live streaming capabilities. Comes with a capture device, camera mount, Lighting and USB-C cable to the phone. Supply your NP-F battery and HDMI cable.Includes all the expected professional monitoring features such as Waveform and Vectorscope which can be positioned anywhere on the screen. There's also false color great for exposure. Focus peaking, various grids and many more typical monitor features.Keep in mind that this variant is only HD and it seems the output from my Sony FX3 didn't fill the screen. Also, turn off HDMI overlays out of the camera or the screen gets very cluttered. If you're not experienced with professional external camera monitors this will be an extremely confusing experience. While the included manual helps with hardware setup there are no PDF or Video Tutorials to help in understanding the various monitor control features. As a result, you'll have to do quite a bit of experimenting. For me my primary concern is not being able to see my HD video full screen on my iPhone and I can't seem to figure out how that's possible yet, I love have False Color for exposure as well as having a Waveform and a Vectorscope all of which are features my Sony FX3 does not have.
