This is a new round 14" diameter air cleaner base. Fits 4 barrel carburetors with 5 1/8" neck such as Holley, Carter, Edelbrock, and BG.

Cheaper alternative to more expensive steel 1.25” drop bases. Works well and allows the hood to shut. Thumbs up.

This air cleaner base fits both Quadrajet, Edelbrock and Holley carburetors with a 5 inch air horn. It is meant for 14 inch circular air cleaners but it will fit most 60s stock air cleaners. I use this base to adapt 60s 2 barrel lids to 4 barrel carburetor. The Fit is very good and seals as it should. The stamping is excellent with a very nice semigloss black finish. Very attractive. It also has two circular stampings either of which can be punched out so a fitting can be installed to vent a valve cover. One will still need to run a PCV. This is a nice fitting as a flexible line can be ran from a valve cover into the carburetor. This helps to reduce the pressure in the crank case when running. The fitting is not included but can be purchased separately. Overall, this is a quality product.

Very nice quality reproduction. Fit perfectly on a Holley 850 Double Pumper. NOTE: I had to add a 1/2” spacer because the bowls rattled a little when the car was running.

I used this on my 1969 Chevelle SS with a 396, stock intake manifold, and the Holley equivalent of the Q-jet carb. I bought this so I could get the stock hood closed with a 3” tall 14” round air filter. It worked great for that purpose.

I use a brawler (holley quick fuel) carb and if you need hood clearance this is what you need.
