About Cats Eye
True cat's eye is a form of chrysoberyl Quartz, sometimes called "Cymophane". It is a rare and valuable gemstone, which is often underrated as being a "semi-precious" stone. "Chatoyancy" or "chatoyance", is literally taken from the French word meaning "cat's eye". The effect is a strong banded reflection caused by tube-like or needle-like crystals running along the length of the stone. The optical effect is seen best in chrysoberyl Quartz varieties, but is also found in a few other gemstones like Star Sapphires and Tigereyes. Genuine Catseye Quartz is very rare. Most of the inexpensive Catseye sold on the jewelry market today is a manmade version of quartz crystal glass.

I wanted the darker green (like pictured). The beads were more to the lighter side, so a little disappointed. I used them anyway, because of time crunch. The quality was very good, only one bad one in the lot. Price is good. You can get 2 bracelets out of this quantity.

4mm - Pink. I’ve attached two pictures—one with flash and one without. The pink is much lighter and softer in person compared to the deeper shade shown in the product photos. However, the cat-eye effect is stunning, and the beads are high quality with no defects. Overall, I like them, but I’m deducting one star for the inaccurate color description.
