The center hole for the way out from being centered...in fact its near 3/4 inch out of center. Its USELESS a throw away as its so madly out of balance that bench grinder almost becomes airborne when turned on.

I have been using a 6" 3M EXL wheel for years for deburring and polishing steel, was looking to get an 8" to replace it. Didn't know which one to get so I ordered the 9P 180 grit to try. I'm not sure how the hardness scale works, but 9P is very soft compared to the EXL wheel. It doesn't deburr as well, a sharp metal edge just seems to tear up the wheel excessively. The 180 grit is also much coarser than the EXL. I'm sure I will find a use for this but it's no replacement for the EXL wheel. For the price I am willing to try these again in a different grade.The 16mm bore is actually around .700" on the one I received, pretty loose on a 5/8 arbor, I made a sleeve to center it. The wheel is visibly out of round and vibrates slightly at 3600 rpm but seems to be getting better as it wears in.

I had to crush thickness with a fender washer to get it to fit my (3450 rpm) grinder, but it was worth it.Puts a razor sharp edge on my knives and lathe tools.I will re-order when it wears out.

I wish I had found these sooner. They work very well. I use wire wheels for heavy removal and this wheel to finish. The price is quite reasonable. The arbor is undersized which is perfect! You push it on and it will give a tight connection. Far less vibration than from wire wheels that are very unbalanced. Mine was slightly off center arborwise but better than Norton's that I have (grinding and wire wheels). I'm going to buy more soon.

In purchased this to primarily used to polish up machined pieces. It works great, I was able to fit this on a grinder normally using more narrow wheels.

Great product! I needed to make an adapter sleae but the work it does is great. Cleans off metal sharp edges and can polish dull surfaces. I'm buying more!
