so I had never replaced these on my trailers before, this was a learning experience for me. right away I realized that the size of the pin was larger than the bracket on my trailer. this was easily resolved with a step drill bit. once that was done I put the spring in place and threaded the pin through. it took me a couple minutes to realize that you do not need to compress the spring to install the roll pin. you can install the roll pin anywhere in the spring and then easily rotate it out to the end.The finish on the spring scratched immediately but I'm not expecting it to stay perfect, especially for something like this.The roll pin seemed to only go into the hole if the handle was pointing up, this review may help somebody out I hope it does!

Got these because they happened to both fit my Carry-On trailer and work for other uses. It's just like the original but coated better so I actually expect it to last a little longer. I'm glad that it comes well packed so that there aren't loose pieces that are easy to drop. The pins weigh quite a big just like the original ones. Overall, great replacements.

My trailer locks broke and I have used Eyebolt and springs that worked well for a while but they rust and get stiff and are hard to use. These are great replacements for my broken latches. The metal has a nice painted look and comes with the spring and roll pin for keeping the latch in place. This is easy to install and works great.

I purchased a used 5x8 Utility trailer several years ago, that was missing one of the spring latch pins to secure the loading gate. I had been using a clevis pin/cotter pin setup, which worked but was a pain to keep track of and inconvenient compared to the spring pin. I was delighted when this showed up on Vine, I never thought to look for a replacement spring pin. It installed easily and works as intended.
