The Bike Seat Posts Clamp Washers by YehVeh came today. Yippe! They're OK - not fully sure yet how usable they are, but as my title suggests, it would've been even better had they included at least one Quick-Release (QR) CLAMP too! Afterall, users concerned enough with their clamp performance to get these washers, would surely appreciate a nice stainless steel QR clamp (that wouldn't rust like mine)- and if 1 washer was already on an included clamp, the consumer would know exactly what they are and where they go, should one quickly throw this in a toolbox and not install it until later. I know I may easily forget where these washers go - so I'll try to store them in a box designated for bike parts. Don't forget to throw some grease or anti-seize paste on your bike seat tube, so it doesn't weld itself together. I had no idea this was a thing until I got interested in bicycles again. Before then, I would've guessed (incorrectly) that grease should be avoided, as it would keep the seat height adjustment from staying put. (Nope). Also, be sure to orient the opening of the Quick Release Clamp over the slot opening for the Seat Tube. It's more efficient the right way. I have 4 bikes and tend to regularly move my SEAT height up and down, to enable the bike to be held by the vertical Seat Tube in a Bike Repair Stand clamp - instead of by a horizontal frame tube - which I fear could crush a brake or shift cable. I just tried to replace a plastic washer on the seat tube of my `2000 Specialized Hard Rock Comp bike, (a respected industry leader) w/ a copper one from the YehVeh Set, and the washer hole was too small. I probably could've attempted to drill a bigger hole, but was concerned I'd ruin the copper washer, as it seems to be somewhat thin. However, a YehVeh PLASTIC washer had a bigger hole, so I used it. This is the 2nd product by YehVeh that has let me down.
