I was planning to place this on the dresser in the nursery, but the bottom is not flat and because of the amount of warping it wobbles noisily when placed on a flat surface. I may try using an adhesive dot to keep it in place, if my husband can't bend it back to being flat, but worst case it has to be hung on a wall. The quality overall is not as high as I would like: there are several places in the seams of the letter where there are holes, not immediately obvious but you can see light through them. I just hoped for better.

Black metal letter "D". It stands by itself or it has a hanger on the back to hang it on a wall. The back is open and hollow so it is lightweight. Could be spray painted to the color of your choice.

I really liked this almost 8” metal letter “H”, until it arrived at my home. There are several spots where the H has very noticeable hammer marks, open spaces where the metal doesn’t meet up properly, and if there is any light behind the H, it shines brightly through the “extra” holes. This H wasn’t that inexpensive either, and the damage to the H didn’t occur in transit. I would say that the quality is less than okay, it’s surprising that the manufacturer would allow it to leave their shop.To be fair, the size is very nice, and the fact that it is 3-D is nice, it does have a nice way in which to hang the H, and it is an appropriate weight. It might be that the metal is pretty thick that makes it difficult to mold into a beautiful letter H. Maybe they need to use a mix of metals in order to allow this H to be formed easier. It is still beautiful, but you can’t help but notice the mistakes.

It's decent. I got it for above my kitchen cabinets. It serves its purpose. I do like the size.
