I’ve used traditional hooks. The prong style (4 prongs). Traditional are ok but they eventually lean so far over they need to be pulled up, straightened out, and driven back into the ground. The prong style that I got are trash. These screw in type are fantastic! They haven’t moved since I put them in the ground and they’ve been through a winter of strong storms. I also wanted a 72 inch high so the would be a little shorter than my 6ft fence. Well these you can add/remove links to go higher or lower.

The screw into the ground base is an amazing addition. It's not wrought iron I know, it is coated tube steel but for $12 you can't go wrong. You don't have to use all of the vertical tubes so you can adjust the height as you see fit. I am going to but another one.

I am very happy with it , It goes together real easy and goes in the ground better than any pole I used before . I also added a second arm with some with zip ties and a metal shelve bracket I also found on amazon very reasonable and the soda bottles are to prevent the squirrels , I would tell my family to buy it. Also it will be easy to remove the pole in spring just loosen the wing nuts and lift it out.
