The magnetic is strong enough but the wires are not transferable the milivolt. This means the wire has conductivity. Need to use higher quality conductor.

I always thought it was ridiculous to pay $12 for a magnetic jumper. So I purchased these bargain jumpers. They are not good, because the magnetic ends are very weak. They are so weak that they can not stay on because of the wires weight.

This is perfect for quick trouble shooting low voltage wiring, I have even used it a few times to jump out 120v circuits. And you can hang them around your neck and let the ends touch, and it's like a necklace, but useful, and you don't lose them.

First off, I might as well admit that I meant to order the test probe leads, but clicked on the magnetic leads instead - that's totally my mistake, and I'm sure I'll find a use for these. They're very good quality, with what feels like silicone insulation, good integrated strain relief, and strong magnets that are firmly attached and make good connections. I have a lot of cheap leads that fall apart, and while I haven't really put these leads through their paces, I can tell that they are a cut above; well worth the price.I also didn't realize when ordering that they would take so long to arrive. The original delivery estimate was for a month, though I ended up getting them in two weeks. I don't know if it was just an inventory glitch, since they're supposed to have two day shipping; hopefully the sellers can address this issue.

Rather than persuading small alligator clips to hold on screws such as those for a thermostat connection to a furnace try these, quick to connect. A valuable addition to any test lead / patch lead set.
