These work really great! Did a couple of trial runs. Had one attached to an extra key, floated it in the bathtub, and no issues! I tried one attached to my water bag for my phone, and it floated as well! This is great! I havent tried them in the river where we go kayaking yet, but they passed the bathtub float test.

These are just simple tight foam stamped out pieces with a keychain hole on one end. The ball rope style keychain is basic and functional. A simple float that can be attached to pretty much anything. The low cost makes these a good value.

Decent size to hold up a little weight, can always add a second easily if needed to float something larger. Love these for random things when I am out paddling.

These keychains are about 1/25" thick. They look and feel well made. As a test I put two ounces of lead weights on the keychain, and then put it in a bucket of water. About 2/3 of the keychain submerged, and the remainder stayed above the water. Two ounces of lead represents several keys, so these keychains are more than adequate to protect your boat keys. My only criticism is the chain is a bit thin. Oh, and you have to push the chain through the float. They don't come together. Its a tight fit, but using a fingernail to help push the chain through works well.

Needed something to hold the remote for the boat lift that would help keep it from sinking and be extra visible if it fell in water (or grandchild dropped it overboard). This works well.

I have a rental cabin with a boat dock on the water. My renters regularly lose their key while boating and/or swimming. I started putting the cabin key on this floating key chain and have not had to bring the renters a spare key since. I also added one to my boat keys and am no longer paranoid about them going overboard. These were very inexpensive and provide peace of mind.

6PC Floating Keychain for Boat keys,Would I buy it again- YesThese are well made foam floats. They appear well made, feel smooth and dense. I floated 4 keys with it as a trial and it supported them all quite well- about 1/2 of the product floated out of the water more than enough to see if dropped overboard. Chain was adequate in length and strength--same as a metal pull chord. One additional suggestion; Since they came as a 6 pack-- at least 2-3 different colors in the same would be nice to distinguish different key sets in the drawer - all came only as an identical blue/black combination. They do offer a 6 pack in green/black and another in red/black but you really would seldom need more than 6 at any one time
