What is a gasket ?
- Gasket is a mechanical seal between two objects, usually used to prevent pressure, corrosion, and natural expansion and contraction of pipelines and leakage between two objects. Since the machined surface cannot be perfect, the irregularities can be filled with gaskets.

I needed head, valve cover and intake, exhaust gaskets for my John Deere L118. They didn't look great out of the box. The outer coating wasn't completely uniform and I was afraid they would fail. So are they are working great and gave my old mother a new lease on life. Can't vouch for the longevity but they for great and are doing what they are supposed to do for now.
