We bought a 37 hp tractor this year and a 6' rear blade for when the snow is heavy and deep. Our 1500' driveway is mostly recycled asphalt so I wanted snow shoes to mitigate how much it'll get torn up. These are tall enough to work for my blade. Ended up putting 17x 5/8 zinc flat washers underneath to space them appropriately.

these skids aren't really designed for a full sized plow or for one that gets a lot of use on pavement. But they should work fine for my 6' front mount snowblower on my tractor. What came on it is a custom made design that's specific to the blower. That means buying them from the dealer at top dollar. So I thought I would try these.Making a way to mount them isn't very hard. The 5/8" diameter shaft fits well into tubing with a 5/8" id. I was expecting that I might need to drill it out slightly over 5/8" but I didn't have to. I also suspect that they will rust but there's enough pay so they aren't going to rust inside the tube and be impossible to remove.
