I prefer dial calipers over the digital ones. It seems every time I need my digital caliper; the battery is dead! This is a finely made caliper, but for me, the tiny black decimal lettering on a blue background is completely illegible. Since I only use fractional measurements, this is no problem for me. If you want both decimal and fractional measurements, it may not be a good one for you.
