When I bought my 2023 Craftsman T2200 it came with a mulching kit that was very similar to this model. The difference is the three holes at the bottom of the mulching plug for the slip ties. This plug works a lot better than the original one. No more grass clipping coming out the bottom, top and back of the plug. I am more than 100% satisfied with this model.

Only thing I didn't like was the fact that it requires three zip ties to secure at bottom, which were supplied, but after one mow, two snapped from the force of grass being pushed against cover. Using metal ties now. Working better.

The cover worked well. Put the zip ties didn’t even make through one time of mulching. When use this cover you still have to point your chute towards the area you have went over because some still make it out. Make sure you have mulching blades or it will not work as well. Over all pleased. Just think they could have come up with something better then zip ties!

Fits a cub cadet rzt 46" deck. Way less expensive than the Cub cadet branded kit with the included mulching blades. Works perfect for fall leaf cleanup.

I have a 42” Cub Cadet riding mower. My previous mower was the mulching type. I missed mulching my grass and leaves so I decided to give this a try. To make installation easier first remove the bolt holding the plastic discharge chute. Then there is one bolt you need to remove to fit the mulch plug. The metal rod installs in the upward position on the cover. I had to figure that out since no instructions were included. Once you have the rod installed insert it into the hole and slide the cover backwards making sure the small clip is inside the mower deck and the larger parts are on the outside. Secure the bolt and then the chute. You don’t need to remove the mower deck. Installed correctly there is no need for the zip ties since the cover fits tightly in the channel of the deck.

It's a little flimsy but it does work ok. I plan on reinforcing it with some metal this spring.
