Just received these in wall led channels and I'd say that I am very excited to start working on adding this as an accent light for my staircase to add that subtle lighting as you walk up the steps. The detachable light diffuser makes it easy to add the light strip of your choice (using 12mm width LED strips). I also like that you can connect multiple channels to lengthen the area that you want to light up. These can be used in multiple places such as walls, ceilings, closets, bathrooms, or anywhere else you want a modern, simple, lighted look. The channel strips are made of aluminum and of high quality. The box also contains hardware and end caps to finish off the look.Overall, I am extremely happy with these recessed aluminum tracks and can't wait to use them on another project around the house! I'm considering ordering more to do a project above my baseboard moulding to give me a very subtle glow to highlight the room perimeter at night. You can use an LED strip light that has features such as changing color, chasing lights, or fade in and out which would really give a cool effect on the area. The possibilities with this LED channel is endless using your imagination. If you are looking for a very simple modern lighting effect, this is the product!

Decent channel, but 1m isn't the best length, as I have found, for in-wall mounting because the number of joints necessary. Double sided is definitely easier to get flat into the wall with fewer gaps.

This LED channel strip is unique but requires you to embed it into something.So there will be some major deep-dive DIY and that has to be your thing, or you have to have a contractor, to properly use these. That said, for their purpose, they're an amazing product.If you're building a home or doing some bigtime renovations, you could add great value to your home and modernize it with these.It doesn't come with the actual LED strips, power supply or controller (which you'll need to shop for separately). But once you get these installed and embedded into a wall or other surface, the effect is simply stunning.I'm not exaggerating when I say it will definitely increase the value of your home to install these when you build or renovate. Recommended!

This LED is good for 12mm LED strips and built out of aluminum. The one-meter strips channels can be installed together for a long strip or cut to size for whatever is needed, either in linear or square installations. The plastic diffusers are satisfactory and do not detract in any way from the product. Good value for aluminum channels. I am using these channels to retrofit a ceiling to new LED lighting.

Very nice lighting channels with wide wings for nailing or screwing.You can buy surface mounted LED strip lighting but this design gives a much sleeker, custom look.Looks like you'll need joint tape and joint compound right up against the edge of the strip so I'm not sure how they'll hold up against sandpaper. You'll need to be careful not to scuff them.These appear to be designed for 1/2" drywall since a quick search on "sheetrock thickness in mm" revealed:1/2 inch (12.7 mm): This is the most common thickness for interior walls.And these are 12.8 mm in height, which gives you 1 mm for tape and joint compound. That will bring your finish flush with the top of the channel.5/8 inch (15.9 mm): This is often used for ceilings and applications requiring added fire resistance or sound control.These will not work with 5/8" drywall, in my opinion, unless you combine them with a taller channel.I would order these again for a custom, recessed wall application.

I was really impressed with the packaging of this channel; it arrived in pristine condition! The metal extrusions are top-notch and perfectly designed for 12mm LED strips, which is fantastic. However, I do have some reservations about the opaque plastic covers. They feel quite thin, and I can’t help but worry about their long-term durability. With the expectation that these items should stand the test of time, I see the covers as a potential weak point. Normally, I would knock off half a star for such concerns, but I’m holding off on a full star deduction for now. If anything changes down the line, I’ll be sure to update my rating!

I am going to use these in my shipping container house. I am looking forward to the modern clean style they have to offer. With the right amount of planning they are not hard to install and work very well. The cover dispurses the light evenly to not show individual lights.
