Arrived quickly and works great for grinding carbide. If you don’t have the shaft adapters you will need that, because this wheel didn’t come with any. Other than that great product!

I mounted the wheel on a 6inch bench grinder for grinding tungsten electrodes. I had to make a spacer for the bore size to reduce it to match the arbor on the grinder but I knew that when I purchased the wheel.

This is a good product and it's well made, runs true etc. zero complaints. Just thought that I'd share that I'm a beginner TIG welder and I purchased this wheel for the sole purpose of grinding a smooth point on 3/32" thick tungsten electrodes. It does this very well and the wheel began showing a wear groove fairly soon after using it. Albeit Tungsten is a very hard material and during the TIG learning process I've had to re-sharpen my electrodes more often than a proficient TIG welder would have to. Nevertheless, if you're getting this wheel for this purpose be mindful that it's a 3/8" wide wheel, so try to space 3 maybe 4 wear grooves across the face and it will extend it's useful lifespan (I didn't think ahead to do this) . Again no complaints, although I will likely try something different after this wheel expires.

I have been using "green" wheels to grind carbide. I noticed lately that the Weldun flat is less common and I burned my fingers when grabbing a 1/2" carbide end mill out of the v-block on the grinder and hoping to install it where a carelessly destroyed predecessor had been. Yup, was in a hurry grinding and got it quite hot. That's when I checked online to see what was available since I didn't have a good diamond wheel of my own for use in my own shop. Since I'm cheap, I went with this less expensive import. It is working well and I was surprised how much cooler the mills I've used it on were after giving them a .032 X 7/16" flat on the shank. So far the wheel doesn't show any wear, buildup or skip spots. I admit ignorance to exactly what 75% or 100% diamond means, but this wheel cuts very well and I believe it was called 100% and cost me a buck or two more than some listed as "75%". Most of the 5 or 6 shanks I have used this wheel on were C5 carbide. So, I'm quite happy with this wheel and I'm betting the 100% diamond is helping this wheel run as well as it does.DaveGx
