This TOORGO 5T Hydraulic Cylinder may be small, but it delivers serious lifting power! The 0.28" stroke is perfect for precision adjustments in machinery and shipbuilding. Built sturdy and reliable, it operates smoothly and efficiently. If you need a mini ram that packs a punch, this is the one!

This collection of hydraulic cylinders is worth considering, but know that these are small stroke versions of the more expensive versions available by other manufacturers. I was not able to get the 5 ton version to apply 5 tons of pressure, due in part to the small stroke. I stronly recommend you skip this one and pay a little more to get the 10 or 20 ton version. The stroke is much better and the tonnage is more realistic.

This Jack has been a bit frustrating because it doesn’t use the common fittings for either of my portable hand powered pumps so I guess they really want you to buy their pump. This thing is very small. I got it in the hopes of using it to help put some castors under my massive wood planer but I used a different tool when I ran into issues with getting a pump to fit. Build quality seems ok, it comes with documentation which is good

Only has a miniscule 1/4" of liftThis seems to be a Chinese knockoff of a nationally known brand of these similar tools thay cost 10x as much. If you need to lift or push something metal away from something else also made of metal that's already got a 2 inch gap big enough to slip this in, then I guess this is your tool of choice. That's gotta be one very specific application that I've never come across as a residential co tractor. I've got several hydraulic bottle jacks thay get used from time to time lifting things to work on and on my experience you always get wood cribbing and soft ground even if its has pavement on it thay will compress maybe a 1/2" or so before you get any lift. Now this little ram is going to run out of travel way before you start to lift in any application I can think of. Definitely want to get a different model with several inches of travel if you want to lift anything in my experience. With that said, it seems to do everything the listing description says it will do and all the measurements sem accurate. There is no spring retraction in this model.

This little jack is a high-precision device. It doesn't jack up much, but when you need fine-tuned increments, this is what you go to. It's machined very well, and at a great price, you can't go wrong. It can easily lift a few tons with precision and accuracy.

Item: Toorgo store’s (Model FPY-5) 5-ton short-stroke hydraulic cylinderPrice: $45.99 at time of reviewIronically, this 5-ton short stroke hydraulic cylinder is from an industry with which I have marketing, sales and engineering-application experience. So when I saw this short stroke cylinder, my first thought was, “It looks identical to the internationally recognized brand I know. In fact, it’s even painted in the same PMS (Pantone Color System) yellow that’s associated with that brand.” So, bringing this cylinder in for review was more out of curiosity than thinking I’d ever use it professionally. And if for personal use, I’d be extremely cautious. I’ll explain.Upon first look this cylinder did look identical to that international brand. But my huge caution is that there’s a reason this cylinder is literally 1/10 the cost of the ‘international brand’. And it has nothing to do with appearance. It’s all about recognizable national and international safety and acceptance certifications. I couldn’t find any on the vendor page. And as for the applications mentioned on the vendor’s page, which include ‘shipbuilding’, if I were at a safety-certified ship yard, I highly doubt I’d find this cylinder. The liabilities associated with the commercial applications mentioned on the vendor page, in my professional opinion, limit the use of this type of tool to those 'tool systems' that have passed local if not national industrial safety testing. At home I have pump-hose-ram sets. But I’m extremely careful in how I use them. So using a hand-pump from my set, I was able to extend this cylinder under a very light load. And as a ‘single action’ cylinder without spring return, manual retraction was needed. But even though it’s rated at 5-tons, that’s far from the load with which I’d trust this cylinder. The most obvious issue on the vendor page is that there’s no mention of ‘repair parts’, meaning cylinder packing kits. And the last thing I want as a commercial tool is one that can’t be easily repaired. And even worse, there’s no mention of the operating pressure of this cylinder, which if it were rated, should be 10,000-psi (pounds per square inch of hydraulic pressure). But from experience I know that a pressure leak from a hose or cylinder at that high a pressure can generate a stream of hydraulic fluid powerful enough to pierce and cut through a body part. I’ll add that I also couldn’t find mention of ‘appropriate safety glasses’, let alone heavy duty work gloves. Bottom line, short of using it to lift home appliances, which might weigh 250-lbs. (1/8 of a ton) at most, I wouldn’t trust this cylinder, let alone recommend it.
