These slide boxes look flimsy and quality of plastic expected to be better at this price range. We brought these for transportation of slides but not suitable for that purpose. It broke along with slides inside during transportation. Hinges are flimsy and locks not tight enough. At this price range better quality was expected. Pay attention to the images as it doesn’t come with any padding or with cork or foam inside. It may be used for storing glass slides but won’t suggest for transportation.

Perfect boxes for all my slides.Each box arrived individually wrapped in plastic bagswith resealable plastic zippers.Lightweight and colorful boxes.My microscope slides fit perfectly into the slotsin each box. Closed lid and still perfect fit.If you are concerned about your slide sizes fittinginto these please refer to the attached measurementsof my slides. Length and width included.Measure, compare your slide width/length and that should helpyou decide. VERIFY both length/width as the box won'tclose properly if your measures are too big.Each box includes papers with 50 lines so you can label and identify if needed.Nice deal and colors to store and protect your microscope slide collections.

If you are looking for a set of slide boxes these are pretty decent. They fit standard size slides (3”x1”x1mm) perfectly and you can hold 50 slides per box. The inside has two sheets of paper which numbers the slides and you can write the labels for each slide on the paper attached to the top of the box for organization. I do find the room to write on labels a little small and need to write with a very fine tip pencil and steady hand in order to write the details I want.You get a set of 4 boxes with each box being a different color. The boxes themselves are made of plastic and here is my biggest complaint. I have plenty of slide boxes that are made of plastic but none this cheap feeling. The plastic doesn’t feel like it will last and could break easily from a fall. I also feel like the hinges are a little flimsy. Given the price I feel like the plastic could have been of better quality.

These are pretty basic plastic cases with two paper cards that have the numerical index of each slot pre-printed on them. The paper simplifies keeping track of your specimens by allowing you to either write directly on the cards or reference the index number in some other way. There is no additional cushioning etc, so given their simplicity I waffle on considering the price a hair high for what they are.However, my glass slides fit just fine, the boxes are as depicted in the product images, and they serve their purpose just fine. No problem recommending them as long as you paid attention to the description and images so you know exactly what you're getting.

I got these to use for transporting slides before I image them on our widefield microscope. We have the 100 slot boxes we get from another company, but I don't need that large a box. These are as good as any other brand. It doesn't have a cork or foam layer in them for added protection, but they still work fine.

These are great for organizing but we bought plastic slides for a portable microscope and the slides do not fit. The slides are smaller than each slot. Good for just storing but in a loose pile.
