The description is inaccurate. These end caps are not rubber, and they are not soft and flexible. They are pvc.

I had drilled holes thru a white aluminum metal post on my porch, and used two metal plates as additional support to hold a Flag pole bracket. I then used 4 bolts/nuts to secure it. I had spray painted everything white prior including the bolts. washers & nuts, but the ends of the bolts stuck out and it just didn't look complete as they were also hazard if someone brushed up against them. These white end caps fit perfectly over my #10 bolts and now it looks much better. These end caps will fit over a number of sized bolts as they do have some flexibility. These could have fit over a #12 bolt end as well. Too small of a bolt might require a little plumbing tape or drop of glue, but for me, these were perfect. Having the extra end caps will come in handy for future work or should one of them fall off or be pulled off by the grand kids.
